Job Summary:
Actively participate in and foster the Bank’s Culture of excellence while supporting the Bank’s strategic initiatives.
The Branch Manager/Area Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations, customer experience, team engagement, and overall performance of an assigned home branch while also providing leadership, coaching, sales execution, and operational oversight for three to four additional branches. This dual-role position balances direct branch leadership with market leadership by developing Branch Managers and their teams, driving consistent execution of retail strategies, strengthening community relationships, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance across all assigned locations.
Consistently and effectively manage behavior within the Bank’s established customer service standards and core values while adhering to all established Bank Policy and procedures.

Leadership & Team Development
- Directly lead and manage the assigned home branch while coaching and developing Branch Managers across the assigned market.
- Conduct regular branch visits, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
- Build leadership capability through succession planning, talent development, and continuous feedback.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, employee engagement, and a high-performance culture.
Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Ensure the assigned branch and all market branches consistently deliver exceptional customer experience.
- Resolve complex and escalated customer concerns.
- Strengthen relationships through collaboration with Treasury Management, Mortgage, Investments, and Commercial Lending.
Branch & Market Growth
- Drive deposit growth, relationship expansion, and business development within the home branch and assigned market.
- Develop branch and market action plans to increase market share and customer retention.
- Represent the Bank in the community and cultivate referral opportunities.
Operational Leadership & Accountability
- Oversee operational excellence, regulatory compliance, internal controls, fraud prevention, and audit readiness within the home branch and assigned branches.
- Balance customer experience with sound risk management.
- Support implementation of new technology, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor profitability, staffing, productivity, and performance metrics for the assigned branch and market.
- Develop action plans and hold leaders accountable for achieving goals.
- Recommend staffing and resource allocation based on business needs.
Strategic & Digital Leadership
- Execute retail strategies established by executive leadership.
- Champion digital banking adoption and ensure Branch Managers effectively coach their teams.
- Lead organizational change initiatives while maintaining employee engagement.

Supervisory Scope:
- Direct supervision of employees within the assigned home branch.
- Direct supervision, coaching, and development of assigned Branch Managers.
- Indirect leadership of all employees within assigned branches.
- Responsible for performance management, succession planning, talent development, and consistent execution of retail strategies across the assigned market.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Seven to ten years of progressive retail banking experience.
- Demonstrated success as a Branch Manager with proven coaching and sales execution results.
- Multi-branch leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to lead multiple locations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, compliance, and relationship management.
