Job Purpose:

Actively participate in and foster the ACB Culture of excellence while supporting the Bank’s strategic initiatives.

Provide above and beyond customer service by performing accurate clerical duties and collection calls to ensure the success of the department.  Uphold ACB well established policy and operating procedures to maintain the bank’s loan portfolio and service all loan customers.

Consistently and effectively manage behavior within ACB’s established customer service standards and core values while adhering to all established Bank Policy and procedures.

Critical Drivers:

  • Accurate quality control of all ACB lending files
  • Accurate and timely of scanning lending documents into electronic storage system
  • Accurate and timely processing of tax and insurance escrow

Duties and Precise Tasks: 

1.    Commit to and live by a no excuses environment whereby all employees are held 100% accountable for behaviors, actions, performance & attitudes.

2.    Adhere to all ACB policies and procedures.

3.    Audit all loan maintenance and set up done by loan processors

4.    Scan loan files into electronic filing system 

5.    Monitor and track insurance policies on secured loans:

       a.    Verify adequate coverage for all mortgage/auto loans 

       b.    Update data files

       c.    Respond to cancellation notices by contacting borrower, agent, or both

       d.    Perform duties related to force-placing coverage

       e.    Notify supervisor of potential loss exposure to the bank

6.    Monitor Flood insurance:

        a.    Maintains tracking spreadsheet for all flood insurances (escrow and non-escrow)

        b.    Verify adequate coverage and verifies correct risk zone for mortgage/commercial loans

        c.    Perform duties related to force-placing coverage

        d.    Notifies supervisor of any lapse in coverage or inadequate amount for compliance with Flood Regulations     7.    Respond to customer inquiries regarding taxes and insurance

8.    Audit rate changes on Adjustable-rate notes

9.    Adhere to telephone and communication standards when interacting with customers to attract business.

10.    Assist in preparing payoff packages and mortgage discharges

11.    Make Collection Calls to delinquent customers as assigned by the Sr. Collector.

12.    Maintain a log of all collection calls within Collection Software platform (CARM).

13.    Review 30-day delinquency notices and ensure that all required disclosures and/or notices are delivered.

14.  Prepare repossession orders as authorized; mail customer correspondence to pay balance in appropriate number of days and notify Attorney for further litigation proceedings. Answer any questions about repossessions and prepares paperwork necessary to sell or dispose of automobiles. Contact Sheriff to make arrangements for repossession of a vehicle, as instructed. Also contact company where vehicle will be stored, if applicable.

15.    Prepare court documents and appear in Small Claims Court with all necessary paperwork for collection.

16.    Prepare paperwork for proposed foreclosures.

17.    Initiate appropriate follow-up action on mail returned as undeliverable.

18.    Research disputed delinquent account balances.

19.    Comply with all applicable state, local and federal rules, regulations and guidelines.

20.    Monitor repayment of Fresh Start loans.

21.    Track all bankruptcy notices, ensure they are properly noted in the account database and immediately stop all billing and collection notices. 

22.    Perform additional duties as requested.
